Muz

In Wastelife, the closest thing to a regular human is a Muz, a word derived from the Ghzish word for man. The idea Daklyn had for mankind was that they could adapt to their surroundings. There are 8 species of Muz, with some having wildly varied adaptions.

The Muz were designed by the six original gods before any other gods appeared in eternity. These gods were Medr, Adnabyd, Ymdig, Bwydo, Cyfapheb, and Riw. The Muz were based on the various apes and monkeys already roaming the Mortal Realm. Being a god-designed creature, there are many aspects of the Muz that deviate from real-world humans in ways that make the Muz a healthier design.

Muz are surprisingly resistant to common dietary toxins, such as Ethanol, Theobromine, caffeine, and capsaicin.

The Muz were originally diverged in the year -10000, 6000 years after the Gods initially discovered the Mortal Realm. They were originally placed in Shildo around where Llofilot is today, but they quickly ran across the entirety of Barogate. Something the Gods didn’t quite predict was the adaptability of the Muz. They physically changed when they entered new environments, creating special adaptions that would help them. These adaptions became noticeable around the year -6900, when the Domuz got scales and finned fingers and feet and the Ximuz began to grow tails and regain the fur that the Gods mostly removed and thinned. These changes stopped around -4600, and now we have 6 species of Muz.
