Çin
The Çin are a cat-like species of person. They were created by Prydferth and distributed across Kuçin around the year 400. In the centuries leading up and following their creation, Prydferth had a certain fascination with cats and their role in society. She lived as a “cat lady” mortal in Kerre for an entire lifespan, and at the end remembering her fondness for the creatures, she was inspired to create a new species of person based on cats.
The Çin placed in Kuçin are the original species. They came to be known as the Telikuçin once the Kuçin diversified.
The Kahrçin are a çin subspecies diverged from the Telikuçin diverged by Fflam for yet unspecified reasons. They were placed in Kahklin in 860 and later modified by a young Mwender. The Kahrçin were placed in Kahklin and eventually would become more populous than the pre-existing species. Kahklin remains incredibly diverse.
The Shinkuçin were diverged by Medr in the early 1000s. The circumstances around their creation is rather complex. They were created specifically to be mortals that interact with the silver ruins present across Hebas Deryd and Asenhal. Medr’s original plan was to purposefully establish a cult for this nature, but she is more comfortable with her living relationship with these people post-5005th.
