Oceans

As the oceans are all one connected object, they are often defined by faux borders between continents, bounding oceans as an area that must be travelled to get from one continent to another. The Mortal World is covered in water. It is mostly water. Thus, borders between oceans are hard to define, but they are still capable of category.

Cadole

The Cadole ocean, named after the Gazi word for “migrate” - “Caludole”, is the ocean bounded by the five continents of Barogate, Anula, Raixzer, Mothdao, and Ouranxo. It is overall a calm and tradeable ocean, but it is still susceptible to harsh storms.

Rahoamor

The Rahoamor ocean is the ocean between Barogate, Anula, and Annwfyn. It is reportedly an angry ocean, and Caesi’s favourite. It is constantly subject to harsh storms owing to the lack of communication and travel between Annwfyn and the two continents. It’s name comes from a shortening of the phrase “Rahodod ho amor” which means the Ocean of Eternity.

Herdalmor

The Herdalmor is the ocean of the south, coming from the Gazi phrase “Her dal” or cold island, often used to refer to icebergs. The ocean is a long stretch from Raixzer to Annwvyn.

Shulashuda

The Shulashuda ocean is the one between Mothdao and Elvas Eldu, and I can’t think of any good oceanic characteristics to give it. The name comes from “wet coast” which refers to the general wetness of the Mothdaoan coast with this ocean. The Elvas Elduan side is largely a tundra.

Gyddogormor

The “Endless ocean” is the term used to refer to the ocean that covers one entire half of the Mortal Realm with sparsely an island in its midst. It is between Ouranxo, Mothdao, Elvas Eldu, and Annwvyn, and covers the arctic circle.
